Born and raised in Istanbul, Gizem Semiz is a visionary tattoo artist known for transforming skin into emotional, story-driven art. Her journey into tattooing began unexpectedly — while preparing for university, she attended a charcoal drawing course, guided by her mother’s encouragement. What started as a love for pencil and paper soon evolved into a lifelong passion for etching stories in black and grey.
With a strong background in graphic design and traditional fine art, Gizem developed a deep sense of balance, texture, and realism that now defines her signature style — Black & Gray Realism. Her works are distinguished by their lifelike depth, smooth gradients, and the ability to capture raw human emotion in every detail.
